If you buy, I hope you are a skilled at electronics repair

Arrived w a busted LED screen. 3 weeks later and shipping costs on my shoulders to get the parts, and they expected ME to fix it without any useful guidance. Why was it MY responsibility to fix their product? 8 hours of frustration and online research to eventually figure it out by myself, and I hope I didn't damage anything in the process. They should've hired a qualified repairman for me. Even the owner's manual says a qualified repair person is needed for any repairs.

32" Smart Electric Fireplace Insert ZEF32X

Took over a month to receive it due to shipping delays but the folks at Litedeer Homes in Richmond were AMAZING!! They did everything they could do to get it to us by Christmas Eve and their efforts are very much appreciated. Overall, it’s a nice unit and the flame effect is pretty but it does not have the 3d-realism look that it does when viewing on the Litedeer Website. I like the multiple flame effect options which allow for the brightness of the flames and fire bed embers to be altered in multiple ways. There are six included logs, two of which are 'glowing' logs that are plugged into the unit itself - it gives a really nice realism effect to the overall look. I was disappointed to see there were no instructions as to how to place all of the five different coloured crystals (mimicking embers), or how to exactly position the logs to get the best possible 3D look. The heating is absolutely excellent and very, very quiet. The problem with this unit is that it does not fit our fireplace opening despite pre-measuring before ordering. The dimensions listed on the website are not accurate and don't include the height of the feet which are attached to the bottom and raise the box 1/2 inch ... so with the feet it is too tall for our existing fireplace opening. The feet can be removed and it will fit in our firebox but then the metal face-plate will not sit appropriately to the front to be attached. There is a 30day money-back guarantee, but I’m not sure what we will do now... its a 5 hour winter drive from Kamloops to Richmond to return it. :(

Very Disappointed!

Ordered a 38” was sent 33, missing the trim piece to make it 38”. The frame has a weld defect in the upper left corner. The inside was either assembled incorrectly or defective as the light tray is below the ledge in back and crooked. It does not lay even or flat. Unit will not go into pairing mode and the the bottom supports are bent.
I tried to call and email to work this out with either replacement parts or a return.
When I mentioned a return they stopped responding and communicating all together. Do not be fooled by the 30 day return or the customer service. This is a lot of money for all these defects. If they addressed them I would have based my review on the unit once installed. Do not buy because if you have a problem you could be out of luck.

We reviewed your photos, and the area you highlighted is a normal weld joint that appears enlarged only because the close-up image was taken at an extreme angle. The connection is structurally sound and not a defect.

Regarding the trim:
We agreed to send you a replacement outer trim; however, we are still waiting for the exact firebox dimensions of the unit you received. The trim must match the specific firebox size, and we cannot ship the correct part until we receive your measurements. Once confirmed, we will send the correct trim immediately.

Regarding internal assembly:
All of our fireplaces are packaged using triple-layer reinforced protection, and every internal component is securely fastened in place. This design prevents shifting or misalignment during transport.
The situation you described is consistent with an installation-stage issue, not a shipping defect. We are still happy to assist with troubleshooting and replacement parts once we receive the required information.

Regarding the order price:
Due to a temporary system upgrade, your purchase was processed with a 20% deep discount, which is significantly lower than our standard pricing. Despite this, we shipped a brand-new, fully inspected unit to you with all accessories included.

We kindly ask that you update or revise your review to reflect the full situation accurately, as we have been actively assisting you and are still ready to provide all necessary support. Once we receive the firebox measurements, we can send the correct trim right away.

Superb customer service

Fireplace looks great, installed ourselves with minimal issues. Ran into an issue of one of the screens not working a few months after installation. Reached out and got prompt and quick reply from Joyce. She even FaceTimed me to help troubleshoot so she could better understand our issue to ensure the right replacement part was sent. Had an issue with the replacement part getting lost at a service center (no fault of LiteDeer) and reached out again and they sent another package that next day! We are thrilled with our purchase of our ZEF55V Litedeer Electric Fireplace. From the moment we turned it on, it has transformed the ambiance of our living space.
