2025 New LiteStar 30" Smart Electric Fireplace Insert with App Diamond-like Crystal (ZEF38VC-30C 2025 New Version)) Catherine Spencer Took over a month to receive it due to shipping delays but the folks at Litedeer Homes in Richmond were AMAZING!! They did everything they could do to get it to us by Christmas Eve and their efforts are very much appreciated. Overall, itтАЩs a nice unit and the flame effect is pretty but it does not have the 3d-realism look that it does when viewing on the Litedeer Website. I like the multiple flame effect options which allow for the brightness of the flames and fire bed embers to be altered in multiple ways. There are six included logs, two of which are 'glowing' logs that are plugged into the unit itself - it gives a really nice realism effect to the overall look. I was disappointed to see there were no instructions as to how to place all of the five different coloured crystals (mimicking embers), or how to exactly position the logs to get the best possible 3D look. The heating is absolutely excellent and very, very quiet. The problem with this unit is that it does not fit our fireplace opening despite pre-measuring before ordering. The dimensions listed on the website are not accurate and don't include the height of the feet which are attached to the bottom and raise the box 1/2 inch ... so with the feet it is too tall for our existing fireplace opening. The feet can be removed and it will fit in our firebox but then the metal face-plate will not sit appropriately to the front to be attached. There is a 30day money-back guarantee, but IтАЩm not sure what we will do now... its a 5 hour winter drive from Kamloops to Richmond to return it. :(
Absolutely love it. Amazing flame effect and sound. Can't get any better for a electric fireplace. We do have a Modern Flames Orion in our family room and this may be slightly better on appearance and sound. It us also half the cost to purchase. Thank you everyone at Litedeer Homes

Ran into an issue of one of the screens not working a few months after installation. Reached out and got prompt and quick reply from Joyce. She even FaceTimed me to help troubleshoot so she could better understand our issue to ensure the right replacement part was sent. Had an issue with the replacement part getting lost at a service center (no fault of LiteDeer) and reached out again and they sent another package that next day! Fireplace works great and looks even better!

The realistic flame effect is mesmerizing and creates a cozy, warm atmosphere that rivals a traditional wood-burning fireplace, without any of the hassle or mess.
One of the features we love most is the adjustable heat settings. On cooler nights, it's perfect for providing just the right amount of warmth, and the ability to operate the flame effect without the heat means we can enjoy the cozy glow even during warmer months.
